Reveling in the learning experience which was enliven by the opportunity given to the team to watch professional basketball, players and officials of Team Nigeria have commended the Nigeria School Sports Federation and the Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri for the platform to participate at the World School Basketball Championship.

Nigeria’s representatives at the International School Sport Federation organized World School Basketball Championship are the boys and girls of Bishop Dimieari Grammar School and St Jude’s Secondary School, both from Bayelsa State were sponsored to global event by the State government, thanks to the sports loving Governor of Bayelsa State.
After playing four matches in the ongoing championship, the team and officials, on Sunday night got the opportunity to watch top level basketball under relaxing atmosphere when Serbia’s FMP and Greek side Bakken Bears clashed in the Basketball Champions League Qualifiers.

Describing the experience as fulfilling and fun, the players and officials thanked the NSSF while showering encomiums on Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State for sponsoring the team to Belgrade, Serbia.
The boys’ team will later today face their counterparts from Greece in the classification for 5th to 8th position. The girls’ team will hope to maintain their winning streak against Ireland in the classification for 9th to 12th position.
