The Chairman of Kano Pillars FC, Alh. Surajo Yahaya Jambul, has stated that Coach Salisu Yusuf has made his team better as they play a better brand of football now. The Chairman Stated this in Jos after his team narrowly lost to Plateau United of Jos by a goal to nil after an entertaining encounter in the New Jos Stadium on Match Day 31 of the Nigeria Professional Football League.

Jambul as he is popularly called was full of praise for coach Salisu Yusuf and the brand of football he has brought to Kano Pillars and does not see his (Salisu) national team duties as an obstruction.
“He has brought the “Tiki Taka” brand of football to our team which is not what we were playing before, if you look at the previous matches we’ve played, we won four straight matches now we got a defeat, the team is playing well and the boys are catching up with his style”.
“Being obstructed by national team duties is not the problem, but it becomes a problem when the subordinates are not catching up with him, but we are definitely enjoying his stay. It’s not really good for the team but we have capable technical crew who are learning from him”, the Chairman stated.

The Chairman went further to assure the fans that the defeat to Plateau United should not be seen as a setback, as the team will go back to winning ways as early as the next match.
