Ahead of the Professor Akin Oyebode All Ekiti State Secondary School Football Competition, the Ekiti State Football Association has lauded the Ekiti State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology for the swift approval granted to the FA to stage the competition.
Chairman of the Ekiti State Football Association Mr. Bayo Olanlege appreciated the efforts of Dr. Mrs. Adebimpe Aderiye for accepting the proposal of the FA and agreeing that Education and Football should be one of the ways to give the kids a better future.
Olanlege further showered encomiums on the Ekiti State Head of service, Mrs Peju Babafemi for persistently advocating for a healthy and mutual relationship between the civic society and the civil service in Ekiti State.
The Professor Akin Oyebode All Ekiti State Secondary School Football Competition (Prof Akin Oyebode Cup) will be played amongst the champion schools from the sixteen local football councils in the state and it shall involve both public and private secondary schools.
