Plateau state has made its intention clear by winning six more medals in the ongoing National Para Games, currently holding in Abuja.
This is adding to the three medals already won the previous day.
Para-Badminton who opened the flood gate of medals continued from where they stopped by winning two more gold and two bronze medals. The duo of Talla Munkwoba and Andrew Michael silenced their Kaduna rivals in the men’s doubles to pip the gold while Mary Nathan continued her conquest by snatching the gold at the expense of Abia, in the female wheelchair singles.

Plateau Para-badminton drew the curtains on their events for the day with a late bronze by Philip Nanbam in the men singles.
Other medals registered for the day came from Abdul Lukman of Para-table tennis, who grabbed the silver medal in the men singles as Gabriel Mandung settled for bronze in the same event and sport.
The last medal after proceedings of the day by Plateau, was in the karate demonstrations, Babangida Auwal ensured the bronze medal came to Plateau.

In other results Plateau Para-soccer team demolished Katsina 8-0 to cement her chances of progression for a medal spot. Similarly, Deaf football defeated Kebbi state 4-1 on penalties to progress to the semis.
Total medals haul for Plateau state now stands at 3 gold, 1 silver and 6 bronze.

Taekwondo and Powerlifting which are strong medal hopeful for Plateau, will start today, Wednesday 13th, 2022.
