Nasarawa House are Champions of the 38th Annual Inter-House Sports Competition of Alama Nursery, Primary and Secondary School

Nasarawa House also known as Yellow House yesterday, 23rd of February, 2022 emerged champions of the 38th edition of the Annual Inter-House Sports Competition of Alama Nursery, Primary and Secondary School.

They beat last year’s winners Jenta House (Red House) to the second position with Rock Haven House (Green House) coming 3rd at the end of the week-long event.

Earlier in her welcome address, School Administrator, Sr. Theresa Dawa, OLF, expressed her delight that the children are been given such an opportunity to become future stars.

According to Sr. Dawa, “Today is historic as the children are given the opportunity to display their talents in sports. Most of the world stars in football, basketball, tennis and so on, started from humble beginnings of this nature”.

She went further, “In Nigeria nothing unites and builds solidarity among us like sports. In events like this, friendship is emphasized above other things. Sports promote interaction and friendship which is the essence of our togetherness today”.

Chairman of the occasion, Bamidele Kolawole, who was represented by his wife, Mrs. Caroline Kolawole, on her part congratulated the school for once again organizing the Inter-House Sports Competition and described his joy with the efforts the school was putting into sports. She used the opportunity to thank the school for standing by their children all these years.

The event had in attendance teachers, parents, invited guests and invited schools.
