Just hours after beating Malawi’s Walter Nyamilandu by 43-8 votes to win a FIFA Council seat, NFF President Amaju Pinnick has outlined his plans for football development in Nigeria, Africa and the world at large.
Speaking to the media minutes after the landslide victory, Amaju said his first project as a member of the FIFA council is to bring his wealth of experience into helping to reposition World football. He didn’t stop there, as he also said he will focus on developing Africa and Nigeria football at all levels.
He reiterated that he has to project the CAF family that got him elected, and project them in the right direction as they now have the right leadership. He said the mere fact that he is a member of the council is a huge positive for the country.
He thanked the President, Mohammadu Buhari, the Honorable Minister of Sports, Sunday Dare, members of his EXCO and Congress for their support in achieving this feat.
