LOC Chairman clears the air on Adamu Yola Cup, says it’s non-partisan

The Local Organizing Committee of the 7th Adamu Yola Gombe South Unity Cup has reiterated that the competition is not for political purposes and should not be seen as one.

This was confirmed by the Chairman of the LOC Mr. promise Uwaeme who stated that the competition is solely sponsored by the Adamu Yola Foundation for the purpose of integrating the youths of Gombe South Constituency and for peaceful co-existence and spotting talents at the grassroots.

“Adamu Yola Foundation sponsors the competition 100%. There are no external financial sponsors or contributors to the competition in cash or Items of any kind.

“The sponsor has singlehandedly funded this tournament from the start six years ago and the foundation continues to wax stronger every year.”

Mr. Promise further urged the public to disregard any rumor of external sponsorship and explained that the competition is open for collaboration but that it should not be with the idea of hijacking it.

“The public is advised that all such claims of sponsorship and contributions are false and should be disregarded. However, we are open to any collaboration that will support what we are doing.

“The collaboration should be with the sole aim of adding value to what we are doing and not with the idea of hijacking it or destroying what we have laboured to set up.”
