EKiti State FA set for capacity building within it’s ecosystem, appreciates LaLiga

The Ekiti State Football Association under the leadership of the Chairman, Bayo Olanlege has taken a new stride on its ambitious journey to develop youth using football as a major tool and also boost a sustainable football culture across the state with a series of capacity building initiatives for some of the components in the Ekiti Football Ecosystem.

Ekiti State FA has scheduled a flurry of programmes  to update the knowledge of players, administrators, coaches and referees on fresh developments in line with best global practices in the game.

The players and administrators seminar will hold during the Annual General Assembly of the Bet9ja Ekiti Football League scheduled to hold on Wednesday, 16th March, 2022.

With gratitude to the representatives of La Liga in Nigeria for a smooth negotiation process which yielded a partnership to the delight of Ekiti FA, the coaches seminar in partnership with La Liga Nigeria is scheduled to hold between Thursday 17th and Friday 18th of March, 2022.

LaLiga has specially designed a virtual training to teach Ekiti State Coaches and would be coaches some rudiments in the LaLiga methodology of developing players.

Ex Super Eagles player, Mutiu Adepoju (MON) and two other officials from LaLiga would be in Ekiti this week for the EKSFA/LaLiga Coaching Clinic to supervise the physical engagements.

In addition to this, the Ekiti State Referees Seminar is planned for the Saturday, 19th of March, where prospective Referees in Training, RITs, from across the sixteen Local Football Councils will be handed over to the Ekiti State Referees Council for onward training.

These initiatives, ideas and endeavors has thrilled the FA Chairman, Olanlege who has nothing other than words of gratitude to Desmond Chiji and Ayodeji Adegbenro of LaLiga Nigeria for their cooperation and efforts to seal the Ekiti FA-LaLiga partnership in record time.

Boyomay as he is fondly called, also extolled the contributions of the Patron of Ekiti FA Cadets teams and Ekiti State Finance Commissioner, Hon. Akintunde Oyebode and a friend of Ekiti FA who is a board member of Ondo FA, Dr. Tunde Akinbinu, urged players, coaches, administrators and referees to take advantage of this opportunity to become better in the business of football.
