Towards a more robust and engaging football ecosystem in Ekiti State, the Ekiti State Football Association (EKSFA) has launched a digital identity card for stake holders in the sector.
According to the Chairman of the Ekiti FA, Mr. Bayo Olanlege, “It is imperative for everyone in the football circle in Ekiti to have a means of identification which can also be used for registration in other affiliated bodies to the FA”.
“This innovation is important because all of us in Ekiti football can have one unique way of identification which signifies we are all under one umbrella though we have different roles like – players union, coaches, supporters club, club owners and others”.
“Let us imagine that with a glance at one card, we have the opportunity of having a means of identifying members and their position in the Ekiti football ecosystem or identifying the card holder’s affiliated organization and position held, or being able to with a click on our website to determine the population of all affiliated organizations’ membership strength so as to plan ands provide better welfare packages and incentives for them, won’t that be great?”
The registration process shall be explained to all members through the heads of their respective affiliated organizations starting from the 1st of September, 2021.
