As part of its efforts to build a sustainable football culture in the state, the Ekiti State Football Association has dissolved the Board of its State League which is known as Bet9ja Ekiti Football League, BEFL.
Recall that Ekiti State FA is one of the few FA’s in the country that run a State League as part of its football development at the grassroots and the league is sponsored by the foremost gaming company in Nigeria, BET9JA.
The dissolution of the Board is borne out the desire of the Ekiti State Football Association to harness the abundant talents and potentials at the grassroots level in the state as it is seen as the fulcrum of football development.
According to the Board of EKSFA, “This will help the association to reposition the league to achieve its objectives and encourage involvement of Individual and corporate sponsors for the league”.
As part of the plans to rejuvenate the league, a new management structure will be announced soon with the hope that the Bet9ja Ekiti Football League, BEFL will resume bigger and better.
