Acting Secretary to the Ekiti State Government, Rev. Foluso Daramola has lauded the Ekiti State Football Association and the Ekiti East Local Football Council for organizing the all Ekiti State Secondary Schools Football Competition across the state.
Speaking at the finals of the Ekiti East Secondary Schools Football Competition he sponsored, Rev. Daramola asserted that organizing such competitions for secondary school students to combine education and football is a very good way to “catch them young” and discover talents for the future.
“I have been sponsoring football competitions in my community for over five years but this year I took it to local government level because its a great idea”.
Rev Daramola who doubles as the Special Adviser, Governor’s Office and Overseer of the Office of the Secretary to the State Government further promised to continue sponsoring the football competition on yearly basis.
He also pledged support to Omuo Comprehensive High School who emerged as champions from Ekiti East and will be representing the local government at the state level during the Professor Akin Oyebode All Ekiti State Secondary schools Football Competition next month.
