Ekiti State Football Association, under the leadership of the Chairman , Mr. Bayo Olanlege has praised Ekiti State Governor, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi as the inspiration and motivation behind the giant strides that has been made by the current football administration, describing the Governor’s leadership style as their driving force.
Ekiti FA says its administration is modeled on transparency and genuine interest of the youths at heart as exemplified by the Fayemi-led government.
The football body further expressed profound appreciation to the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology led by the loving and caring Dr. Adebimpe Aderiye, mni, the Permanent Secretary and the Department of Schools Sports for the recent approval granted to host the All Ekiti State Secondary Schools Football Competition, a competition that has created an enviable nexus between education and sports that will be used to discover talents that can go on to make Ekiti kete proud.
Participating students will also be trained on the importance of education and key life skills of dedication, hard work, diligence, truthfulness, perseverance, contentment, capacity building, and team work, all of which they will require to excel in life.
The leadership of the FA further lauded the current leadership of the Ekiti State Sports Council for its support to Ekiti FA and promised to abide by all the agreement reached with the council aimed to build an inclusive and sustainable football culture in all corners of the State.
Ekiti FA extends gratitude to the Patron and Director General of the Bureau of Public Procurement in Ekiti, O’Seun Odewale, the Ekiti FA Patroness and Head of Service, Mrs. Peju Babafemi, the Patron of the Ekiti Cadet Teams and Commisioner for Finance, Hon Akintunde Oyebode for guiding the FA’s actions with their wise counsels and standing by them every step of the way.
