Ekiti FA Secure funding from Perfect Touch and Phoenix ASC

More talented kids in the Ekiti State Football Ecosystem are to benefit from the reloaded Ekiti FA Scholarships Scheme while the future of those who are enjoying the scheme is to be secured.

Recall that there were eleven beneficiaries of the education and sports scholarship last year funded by some kind-hearted individuals and organizations in the state.

Meanwhile, in a bid to secure funding that would last the kids through their secondary education, the FA was able to convince some youth clubs in the state led by Perfect Touch FC, Ikole Ekiti, and Phoenix Athletics Sports Club, Ado Ekiti, to take up the responsibility of paying the school fees of the selected outstanding talents for the coming session till they leave secondary school.

The clubs will also provide free football training and supply them with football kits as contained in the Memorandum of Understanding and Parental Consent signed by all parties concerned.

For proper coordination and monitoring, the state FA has appointed Mr. Saberedowo Kazeem Kolawole, the Ijero Local Football Council Scribe as the coordinator for the scheme with the Chairman of Ekiti state chapter of the Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria, PFAN, Mr. Seun Omoyajowo as a member, while Mr. Dayo Folajimi AKA Alaska, the scribe of both Ikole Local Football Council and YSFON, Ekiti chapter, will serve as the scribe for the 3 – man committee
