The management of Doma United Football Club has denied the alleged sale of the club by some online publications (Nikua excluded).
A signed statement by the management of the club posted on various WhatsApp platforms said the reports are not true and they are committed to participating in the upcoming NPFL Season.
The statement reads:
“The attention of the management of Doma United Football Club has been drawn to some fake online publications stating that the club has sold its Nigerian Professional Football League slot to another club.
“The club will like to categorically state that all these reports and publications are not true.
“Doma United Football Club fought hard to gain promotion to the NPFL last season and it’s ready and committed to participating in the upcoming NPFL season managed by the Interim Management Committee set up by the Nigerian Football Federation.
“We have gone far in our preparation for the new season. NPFL club owners meeting was recently held and we participated in the just concluded NNL Super 4 in Yenagoa where we tested our player’s strength ahead of the new season. So, all these reports are just strategies meant to distract us from our preparations. We will like to reassert our resolve to play in the NPFL.
“Any other information apart from the one coming from the Club is fake.”
