Members of the EKSFA Educational and Scholarship scheme yesterday 10th January 2023 visited schools and parents of award beneficiaries and handed over the dummy cheque received from the Seyi Akinwunmi Charity Foundation (SACF) last December.
The board which has Mr. Kolawole Saberedowo as coordinator, Omotoso Dayo as Secretary, and Omoyajowo Oluwaseun as member presented the cheque of one hundred thousand naira (N100,000) to Basit Salaudeen courtesy of Seyi Akinwunmi Charity Foundation.
The visit aims at establishing the position of the athletes as scholarship beneficiaries and also promote the relationship of the scheme with their parents and school hoping that they are well nurtured to becoming great ambassadors of the game.
Basit Salaudeen, a senior secondary school student of Christ the King group of schools, Ilupeju Ekiti enjoys the scholarship based on his outstanding performances in football, representing the Ekiti Baby Bees, and for his leadership trait and qualities.

Basit in his words stated, “I am happy today and grateful to Mr. Bayo Olanlege led FA for this platform which bestowed honour upon me and I also want to appreciate Barr. Seyi Akinwunmi and his foundation for giving me an opportunity to want to improve more.”
Mr. Faleye Sunday, the Principal of Tessy Gaccamaic School, Odo Oro Ekiti in Ikole LG after receiving the entourage on behalf of Olatuyi Ebenezer, appreciated the efforts of the Football Association for setting up the scheme and gave positive feedback on the academic improvement of Olatuyi Ebenezer stating clearly, “He can now read and write conveniently compared to when he was enrolled in the school and also the school was able to secure for him a personal tutor to give him extra classes.”

He appreciated the Football Association for their innovative ideas, giving the football ecosystem a facelift and he promised to continually work in tandem with the Football Association to achieve their set out goals and objectives.
Olatuyi Ebenezer is currently enjoying a full education and sports scholarship courtesy of Canada-based Ekiti man, Mr. Olaleye “Ozone” Olanrewaju who is also the president of Perfect Touch Football Academy, Ikole Ekiti.
